Vescom has introduced translucent curtain fabrics that absorb five times more sound than customary translucent curtain fabrics. The curtain fabrics improve the room's acoustics and are translucent, fire safe (Trevira CS), durable, lightweight and extremely strong – a combination previously unavailable for modern architecture.

Vescom Groep B.V. has recently taken over the weaving and finishing activities of Weisbrod-Zürrer AG in Switzerland. The takeover occurred via Vescom’s subsidiary Müller Zell. Weisbrod was founded in 1825, and is a weaving company that manufactures extra wide (minimum 3 metre / 118 Inches) curtain fabrics which include Trevira CS qualities. The company develops and weaves these fabrics for international project markets as well as for residential markets.
