Vescom Group takes over activities of weaving company –
Weisbrod-Zürrer AG

21 october 2011

Vescom Groep B.V. has recently taken over the weaving and finishing activities of Weisbrod-Zürrer AG in Switzerland. The takeover occurred via Vescom’s subsidiary Müller Zell.
Weisbrod was founded in 1825, and is a weaving company that manufactures extra wide (minimum 3 metre / 118 Inches) curtain fabrics which include Trevira CS qualities. The company develops and weaves these fabrics for international project markets as well as for residential markets.

The addition of Weisbrod activities, via subsidiary Müller Zell, will enable Vescom Group to further develop its excellent reputation among existing clients, by supplying extra wide curtain fabrics.

The Weisbrod-Zürrer takeover makes it possible for Vescom to evolve in the production of extra wide curtain fabrics for its collection. Moreover, the fact that Vescom manufactures its fabrics within the group, means it is able to satisfy the large demand for fabrics in the project market.

For the time being, production will continue to take place in Switzerland. In 2012, the weaving company will eventually move to Müller Zell in Weissdorf, Germany.

The takeover fits in nicely with the Vescom Group strategy; namely, to grow and progress worldwide as a developer, producer and supplier of high-quality interior products.
