Vescom vinyl upholstery is hygienic, stain resistant, easy-to-clean and can be disinfected. The vinyl upholstery shows an excellent resistance against blood, urine, sweat and sebum when cleaned with Vescom Cleaner, as tested in accordance with EN 12720.

Through our testing, we aim to obtain the highest possible quality when it comes to ease of cleaning, stain resistance and disinfecting. Vescom's vinyl upholstery has been tested according to the following criteria:
To determine if vinyl upholstery can withstand cleaning with regular household cleaners, a scrubbability test was performed with different brands of water based all-purpose cleaners.
All tested cleaners show no adverse effects on vinyl upholstery.
Vescom vinyl upholstery can be disinfected with disinfectants based on peroxide and “quats” (quaternary ammonium) as no adverse effects are visible. Active chlorine (with concentration of 1000 ppm) can be used safely, however frequent use can lead to some discoloration. Alcohol based disinfectants shows a severe attack of the upholstery and therefore should not be used on vinyl upholstery.
